Embracing Health and Safety Week 2016

health and safety Jun 16, 2016

Next week (20th – 24th June 2016) is one of the most exciting weeks of the year for the health and safety industry in the UK; it’s Health and Safety Week 2016.

Naturally we’re big supporters of this year’s Health and Safety Week here at Hundred Acre, just like we were last year. We love the aim of the initiative; to inspire excellence in health and safety, and we’re really looking forward to doing our bit to help inspire others.

It’s no coincidence that the week coincides with the Safety and Health Expo, and the IOSH Conference, both held at the ExcCel in London. Bridget Gilmour, the founder and director of Hundred Acre, will be attending all the sessions she can at both events and is really looking forward to meeting her peers.

Bridget explains: “These events offer a great opportunity to network with old friends and new faces. I’m eager to learn from guest speakers and those I network with, and pass all I’ve learnt on to my team at Hundred Acre, so we can keep doing all we can to make sure everyone gets home in the same physical and mental state at the end of every day.”

After the huge success of last years’ Women in Safety and Health Forum at the exhibition, there will be another women-only event this year too. On the 23rd June, the expo will bring 1000 women from across all industries together for an initiative they’re calling #SHE1000. We’d love to hear from anyone who’s registered for this event as we’ll be there too, so please do get in touch.

Whether you’re attending the events at ExCel or not, we encourage all employers and employees to acknowledge and embrace Health and Safety Week and the message behind it. If you would like help with any aspect of your health and safety policies or procedures, please don’t hesitate to call us today on +44 (0) 1933 201103 or contact us via our contact form.
