Never one to shy away from a new experience, Hundred Acre’s founder and director, Bridget Gilmour, jumped at the chance of being interviewed for a podcast by Miss Make It Happen, Dee Atkins.
Motivational VA, Dee, loves to give businesses a voice through podcasts and felt it was time to interview someone who’s passionate about a topic that often people don’t want to discuss; health and safety. “We’re all a little bit guilty of ‘it’ll never happen to me’,” explains Dee, and she’s right. Too often businesses are reactive rather than proactive when it comes to the wellbeing and safety of their employees.
One of the first things Bridget mentions is that she’s “always been a woman in a man’s world,” which prompts the discussion about why Bridget became interested in health and safety in the first place. You’ll also find out the story behind the company name and hear just how personal the business and its evolution is to Bridget. “I’m not the person who set the business up eight years ago,” she explains.
