We couldn’t let Winnie-the-Pooh Day pass by without paying homage to our favourite bear and A.A. Milne’s beautiful books.
Every year, on A.A. Milne’s birthday, Winnie-the-Pooh Day is celebrated around the world, and of course, in our very own corner of Hundred Acre.
As most of you know, these classic tales and the characters within them are a huge inspiration to us in our Hundred Acre world. We’re certainly not alone though. It’s testament to the amazing writing of A.A. Milne that Winnie-the-Pooh and friends are still celebrated today; 92 years after we were introduced to their first adventure.
To mark the 90th anniversary in 2016, we were treated to a new character, Penguin, and four new stories. Not content with just reading about adventures in Hundred Acre Wood, we visited Ashdown Forest (the real Hundred Acre Wood) for an adventure of our own. You can find out all about it in our blog post: Adventures in Hundred Acre Wood.
The world continued to embrace the life of A.A. Milne’s characters last year, with the release of the hugely successful film, Goodbye Christopher Robin. If you haven’t seen it yet, we highly recommend you do; you might be quite surprised!
Our favourite museum, the V&A, currently has a wonderful Winnie-the-Pooh exhibition running until Sunday 8th April 2018, which we’d love everyone to visit! It won’t surprise you to hear we visited the preview at the beginning of December, which you can read all about it our blog post: Our V&A Adventure.
Whether you’re fans of the friendly bear or not, we’d love to welcome you to our Hundred Acre world. We provide a wide range of occupational safety and health services to ensure everyone returns home in the same physical and mental state they arrived to work in. If you’d like to discuss your requirements, please don’t hesitate to call us on +44 (0)1933 201103, or write to us via our contact page. We look forward to hearing from you.
